I am Carlos Lopez, and I come from one of the most beautiful countries in South America, Colombia, a country of beautiful flowers, yummy coffee, salsa dance, and wide variety of birds, butterflies and much more. I come from a nuclear family, I have two sisters, they are both married, and I have two lovely nieces and two wonderful nephews. I have been involved with kids for more than 10 years since I first started as a camp counselor in Gaylord, Michigan, then worked for different language schools and institutions until God brought me to Poland where I find myself really comfortable with its culture, people and of course delicious food. I have a lot to give to my pupils, especially lots of love, care and will to help them improve their language skills to fulfill their needs. Below, you will be able to get to know me better and have a better look at my background and professional profile:
Spoken languages: Spanish (native), English (high proficiency: C1-C2), 120-hour TEFL course, Italian (Intermediate B2), Polish (A1-trying hard).
Bachelor in Business Management (Cali, Colombia): As a business manager I have had the opportunity to work for different companies and people locally and worldwide, which has helped me grow as a person as well as a professional; I have traveled to some countries like The U.S.A., China, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Brazil, Mexico, and finally Poland. This has increased my multicultural and languages knowledge, therefore, it has contributed to make me a more adaptable and open-minded person. Being a business manager helps me to lead lessons and assist others in a more organized, professional and accurate way.
English/Spanish teacher and teacher’s assistant at the Canadian School of Warsaw (Pre-school, Elementary and Middle school):  As a homeroom teacher and as co-teacher at the CSoW, I had the opportunity to share my knowledge, experience and use my skill-set to help children on their daily activities at school; I also had the amazing experience of being part of different academic, cultural, and leisure activities at school that put a big smile on children’s faces and brought into my life a lot of joy and happiness. I really enjoy working among children and I can tell they also enjoy working with me.
Sales director and English teacher at Learn Languages International (Cali, Colombia): Managed the sales department productively; created different strategic alliances with other businesses, and  taught Spanish and English as foreign languages  to children, teenagers, adults and well-known companies in Colombia (Coca-cola, Siemens, Postobon, Michellin, Bayer, etc.) for several years.
Camp counselor USA (Michigan, USA): As a camp counselor, I had one of my best experiences. I had the opportunity to meet people from different countries, and I also had the chance of being among kids and teenagers who helped me endure my teaching passion.

Being a camp counselor, homeroom teacher and a coteacher as well as working with kids for more than 10 years has given me a better glance to get to know each type of student and their way of learning, as well as a clever manner of understanding them. I am looking forward to meeting you and your kids, can’t wait!!!
